Assessing Life's Needs

This is how you assess the needs in your life...Pesky Perspective Probing!

Talking policy is down-right pesky, isn't it? You bet it is!

Pesky...

Life insurance is very understated in this day and age yet we avoid talking about it like the plague. We trust in things that do not last and put our focus in one area.

Do you need a perspective check? Are you among the many that believe your $20,000 employer sponsored plan is enough to stay afloat when facing the death of a loved one? Do you believe $20,000 is enough in the place of your absence? Probably not.

But I also wonder, where does this security go when our job is no longer there? How secure is your insurance when placed in the hands of others? How secure do you think you will be once the government takes control over your care? Who is driving your perspective on your benefits?

Accident, cancer, and critical illness policies provide lump sum payments for minimal investment. How would your bank account be affected if you were diagnosed as having had a heart attack or cancer?

"Can I afford to have these policies....or is it that I can't afford not to?"

Perspective...

These are questions that insurance professionals are hoping the public is asking. the insurance industry must ask itself, "If you are not asking then are you informed enough to propose the questions?"
How much financial security do you need to secure your peace of mind?

Assessing your risk:

What is your income? What is your outgoing? It doesn't stay around long!

It seems these days that more money goes out than comes in! But what happens when I am faced with a catastrophy? Will I be covered or running for cover? Whose wing is able to shade me?

Managing your benefits!

There are things you need to know about your benefits. Insurance professionals are also very good benefits consultants. There are important questions to ponder when you don't have coverage but there are more when you do. Does your health policy truly cover accidents or will it ask you to provide insurance information from the location of liability? I have seen the requests asking for plan information in order to coordinate benefits after car accidents, falls from roofs and ladders, and slips on wet floors. There are many avenues within your policies I promise you have not traveled.

How balanced is your knowledge with your benefits? Are you covered too much in one area and not enough in another? Good question!!

Would you benefit from lump sum and ongoing payments if you had a major incident or diagnosis? Can you afford to cover a loss of income after a cancer diagnosis or will you have to rely upon your family and friends? You will have many needs after cancer, heart attack, strokes, and untimely unforeseen accidents....

Why not alleviate the mental stress of the financial need?

Probing...

There are a few simple calculations that one must consider when shopping for life insurance. First of all, how much do you live on now? Liberty National agents have specialized tools to assist you in these calculations. Keeping personal budgets in mind, you will walk through a year of your life and determine your needs and desires based upon your life now.

Another very important question comes to my mind when I think of life insurance. Who will need the benefit the most in the event that a spouse suddenly dies? Is it the doctor? The hospital? Or is it you? Life insurance was not created in order to become rich at the loss of a life, but to secure your life now that you carry all the responsibility.

Is it reasonable to believe that the government will take care of you? The doctor's may get paid or receive an opportunity to write your costs off. The hospital will get paid or wait until you are able. But you will no longer receive that income from your loved one. Life insurance does not require the perspective of establishing worth on a person's life but worth upon the survivor's lives. It is all a matter of perspective really.
